Llegar allí: From San Juan, drive 45 minutes east to Luquillo. I am not totally sure where the best place to park is located. You can park at the nearby stores y walk from any parking spot you can find down the road to the water. There may be better spots available that I am unaware of.

Cosas para hacer: Relax in the shallows – the water may be calm enough to hang out in the shallow in the calmer summer months. Body surf – In the transition months of the spring and fall you may be able to find some rideable waves before they become to big. Walk the beach – this is a great walking beach as it is long and continues around the point pictured above.

Aviso: If there is parking close by, I have not found it. The waves are too large to get in the water in the winter months.

Pros

Plenty of natural shade, though not close to the water.
A great walking beach.

Contras

Getting there requires a walk.
The shore break waves are too rough to get in the water in the winter.
