Getting there: From San Juan, drive about an hour west to Barceloneta. You can park right on the sand or on the other side of the road.

Things to do: Relax in the natural pool – The water is quite shallow so really the only thing to do at this beach is chill in the water and look out at the Atlantic ocean. There are two pools, the pool on the right (facing the ocean) has less rock in it.

Heads up: Conditions like strong surf or high/low tide may change these natural pools.

Pros

Protected beach.
Year-round calm water.
Great for kids.
Remote location.

Cons

Not much to do but sit in the water.
Rocky bottom in some areas.
