Parque de Bombas

2.5/5

Location: Ponce

Getting there: Drive 1 hour 30 minutes south to the “gem of the south”, Ponce. The Parque de Bombas sits on the corner of Ponce’s main plaza. I found parking on one of the nearby side roads, but it wasn’t easy.

General Info: This building was Puerto Rico’s first fire station. It has been converted into a small museum. It won’t take you long to see the building, or walk the museum if you decide to pay to walk around the open interior of the historic building.

Heads up: The museum is rather small, so it won’t take long to see everything. The rest of the plaza is quite nice, and a good place for a walk.

  • One of the best things to do in Ponce.
  • The building is a Puerto Rican icon.
  • It’s paid entry.
