Getting there: From San Juan, drive 35 minutes west to Vega Alta. You may be able to find parking on the side of the road in one of the neighborhoods nearby, but the only place close to the beach is a paid parking lot which costs $4.00.
Things to do: Relax in the shallows – The water is usually very calm but not always very clear. Snorkeling – Apparently there is some good snorkeling in the rocky area around the key just off the coast.
Heads up: The parking lot can fill up on weekends if you arrive late. Go on a weekday to dodge the crowd.
